1,907 New Cases, 5 Deaths Reported Friday

The state Department of Health reported 1,907 new COVID-19 cases Friday, bringing the statewide total to 213,174. Five new fatalities were reported.

A total of 232 new infections were identified Friday on the Big Island. On Thursday, The Civil Defense reported 5,386 active cases, and 43 persons hospitalized.

A total of 7,406 individuals have been hospitalized as a result of COVID-19 infection since the pandemic began, while at least 1,164 have died.
