BBC EastEnders: The huge hint that Adam Woodyatt is taking part in I’m A Celebrity 2021

EastEnders icon Adam Woodyatt has reportedly signed up to take part in this year’s I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!

The 53-year-old, who has played Ian Beale on the BBC One soap since 1985, is currently on a break from filming the show as he’s appearing in stage production Looking Good Dead.

After giving the nation unlucky in love Ian for deacdes, the soap star is hoping to show TV viewers a completely different side of himself.

ITV is yet to confirm Adam as a star in the forthcoming series, however here’s a massive clue that he’s appearing in I’m A Celeb 2021.

During a series of recent television interviews, Adam has been asked when he will return to Albert Square after leaving earlier this year.

The TV star has said he won’t be returning to filming on the soap until 2021, this of course gives Adam time to star in Looking Good Dead and also take part in I’m A Celeb before reprising the role of Walford’s Ian Beale.

When asked about his return on The One Show back in May, he said: “I don’t know. The tour runs until the end of October, my daughter is then getting married in America.

“There is a possibility the tour will carry on until early next year, so if the tour carries on I won’t be back in EastEnders until 2022 at the earliest.”

According to the Looking Good Dead ticket online ticket office, the tour is running until February 26, 2022.

However, there is a break in production between October and January, so technically Adam can star in I’m A Celeb without missing his spot on the stage production!

And he is reported to be receiving a “bumper pay deal” to feature on the ITV reality series – which is set to return to Wales this year.

A source told The Sun: “Adam was a big target for the casting team — he is a soap legend and is certain to be a huge hit with fans.

“But they knew they might have their work cut out because he has been quite reticent to do interviews or reality TV shows in recent years.

“When you consider how long he has been a household name, he has only agreed to a handful of TV appearances outside of Albert Square. And he isn’t known for being a red carpet regular either.

“So it’s a huge coup to have reached this point, and everyone is very excited about having him on the show. He’s a brilliant addition.”
