Car with cloned number plates to be reunited with owner after being recovered by police

A stolen car with cloned number plates is to be reunited with its owner after police followed and then recovered it.

The Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire Road Policing Unit tweeted at 3.42am today (Saturday) that the vehicle – a Jaguar -F Pace, which cost about £40,000 new – failed to stop in Cheshunt.

It said: “This vehicle, which was on cloned plates, failed to stop in Enfield after being followed from Cheshunt.

“The true identity shows it as a stolen vehicle which will now be reunited with its rightful owner. Thanks to @NPASLondon and @MPSEnfield.”
