Celebrity Googlebox is back for a special episode on Friday night (September 10) in celebration of Channel 4’s Black to Front day.
Rudolph Walker who plays Patrick Trueman in EastEnders will be joined by his co-star Tameka Empson, who plays Kim Fox in the BBC One soap, for the special episode.
Tameka, 44, has played Kim since 2009 and has been entertaining viewers with her cheeky remarks and mannerisms ever since.
With her individual taste in fashion, an infectious smile, and her budding businesswoman ways – Kim is one of the more humorous residents in Albert Square, although she’s had her fair share of drama.
Who can forget back in 2018 when Kim went into labour whilst locked in The Minute Mart resulting in Phil Mitchell (Steve McFadden) delivering her son Mica.
Although TV star Tameka has graced EastEnders with the character of Kim for 12 years, she started her acting career years before.
Her first acting credit was playing a character called Leah Russell in the movie Beautiful Thing, which also starred EastEnders’ Shirley Carter actor, Linda Henry.
The born and bred Londoner then went on to star in the film Babymother and Goodbye Charlie Bright before landing a part on the television series Sam’s Game.
The short-lived ITV sitcom aired in 2001 and followed four friends who all become involved in each other’s lives whilst flat renting flats in a large London house.
Also starring TV presenter Davina McCall and comedian Ed Byrne, a 24-year-old Tameka played the role of Marcia.
Marcia is also a waitress at the group’s local café, and is a massive gossip Queen with a big attitude
Sadly, the TV show only lasted for one series comprising of six episodes.
However, Tameka has continued to enjoy a glittering acting career in television and has featured in .101 Dalmatian Street, You, Me & Them, Tinga Tinga Tales, Whitechapel, Babyfather – plus many more.
