Clubcard warning over Tesco credit cards used via Apple Pay

Shoppers who use Tesco credit cards via Apple Pay are being warned they could missing out on Clubcard reward points and discounts

Normally, Tesco credit card users automatically get points or discounts without having to scan their Clubcard.

However, Apple Pay is not automatically included, reports The Times.

Tesco said: “Information regarding Apple Pay is in the welcome booklet, as well as on our website and online community pages.

“If a customer does not receive their full allocation of points and discounts we can correct this.”

Tesco Clubcard allows shoppers to access a range of instore savings, collect points and vouchers and enjoy other rewards.

Customers get one Clubcard point for every £1 spent in Tesco – and shoppers using a Tesco Credit card get a bonus of five points for every £4 spent.

Acquiring 150 Clubcard points generates a £1.50 voucher that can be spent in Tesco – or they can be swapped for cinema and restaurant vouchers or air miles.
