Domino’s launches its first ever Christmas advert

Domino’s has today unveiled its first ever Christmas ad, ahead of what the brand predicts will be its busiest festive season yet.

Pizza sales are set to surge with the festive party season just around the corner, with Saturday, December 4, forecast to be the biggest day for pizza-filled festivities.

Sales of Domino’s first ever Christmas themed pizza, The Festive One, and new festive dessert, Cookies with After Eight, are also set to grow.

Domino’s is highlighting the importance of friends and family reuniting this season by welcoming back cast members from its Domin-Oh-Hoo-Hoo summer ad.

The ad starts by panning across a fairy light-filled stage to a choir preparing to break into song. Instead of a traditional rendition of Silent Night, the performers stun the crowd as a room-silencing yodel comes out of the mouth of the lead singer, confusing the other choir members and the crowd, until eventually they all embrace the festive yodel spirit. The spot finishes with the choir and friends enjoying a Festive One with all the Domino’s trimmings.

To coincide with the Domin-oh-hoo-hoo Yodel campaign, Domino’s will be making a special Christmas doughnation via #GivingTuesday on Tuesday, November 30. Domino’s will invite pizza fans to round-up their baskets for charity when placing their orders and has pledged to match all money raised on the day, with proceeds going to Domino’s long-standing charity partner, Teenage Cancer Trust.

Through its six-year partnership with the charity, Domino’s has helped raised almost £5.5million to fund specialist care and support. Just 10 minutes of these round-up donations from generous customers could fund an hour of emotional support for a young person with cancer.

Merriment Maker at Domino’s, Melanie Howe said: “After last year, Christmas 2021 is undoubtedly the season to be jolly, which is why we’re prepping for a dough-filled festive season. With parties in full-swing and big Christmas family get-togethers on the cards, this year, our stores are ready to rock around the clock to make sure our drivers’ sleighs are full of doughy delights.”

The ad will be broadcast over key primetime spots, including the semi-final of The Great British Bake Off tomorrow night, Tuesday, November 16, inspiring pizza fans to order a piping hot pizza to get stuck into while enjoying the show.

The Festive One and Cookies with After Eight are available now to order online, through the Domino’s app or via your nearest store. For more information and to find your nearest store visit: www.dominos.co.uk.
