I-95 reopens after tractor trailer crash near Rocky Mount :: WRAL.com

— Interstate 95 has been cleared after a crash involving a tractor trailer had caused all southbound lanes near Rocky Mount to shut down.

The crash was not related to severe weather, according to officials with the North Carolina Department of Transportation.

Both southbound lanes at Exit 132, or Sandy Cross Road, had to be closed so that crews could clear the wreckage.

No one was injured in the crash and officials say the driver of the tractor trailer ran off the road.

Sky5 video shows what appears to be cardboard boxes scattered across the Interstate. It’s unclear at this time what the truck was carrying.
