Romance can blossom anywhere and when you’re a celebrity there’s sometimes nowhere to hide.
When stars are put together on stage or in an Australian jungle, love often find its way onto the screen and the whole world gets to see it.
Former Strictly Come Dancing favourite AJ Pritchard found that he couldn’t hide his rumoured romance with a member of The Saturdays.
The dance king was rumoured to be dating Mollie King, 33, when they were paired together in 2017 on the BBC show.
When the two were backstage on the series, fellow dance pro Brendan Cole walked into the boys changing room and found AJ and Mollie.
Speaking to Closer magazine Brendan spoke of how he had caught the two backstage and how they apologised to the star for not seeing him.
Brendan said: “One evening I went in the boys’ changing room, walked in the door and there were AJ and Mollie.
“I wouldn’t have thought anything of it if they had gone, ‘Hey, Brendan, nice to see you’. But when I walked in the door, they went, ‘Sorry, sorry! Didn’t see you there’.
“Two young single people who get together on the show – it’s great, right?”
The dance partners never confirmed whether they were involved romantically but at the time, AJ’s father, a dancer himself, refused to rule it out.
Speaking to the Mirror he said: “They are going for coffees together and strolls in the parks in London whenever they have breaks from the training.
“People have their opinions about whether they are now an item – you will have to ask AJ about that.
“But I think she’s great. I have met Mollie after every show. She is very nice, very easy to talk to.”
The Saturdays star previously dated model David Gandy but broke up after a five year on and off relationship in 2016.
