Ben Shephard is a familiar face when it comes to appearing on our TV screens.
Currently the host of quiz show Tipping Point , Ben has presented some of the nation’s favourite TV shows over the years, including This Morning , The Xtra Factor and Goals on Sunday .
But this multifaceted presenter has been able to add other strings to his bow in the form of two world records.
Ben, 46, broke the world record for smashing the most pumpkins in one minute when he smashed eleven on the set of This Morning in 2010.
He held the title for this Guinness World Record until 2020 when his record was surpassed by Ronal Sarchian who smashed fifty two pumpkins in California, US.
Similarly, the TV presenter smashed the world record for the highest reverse bungee jump in 2008 when he was catapulted 54.25 metres into the air on the set of Guinness World Records – Smashed in London.
Sadly, Ben didn’t hold the title for this achievement for long because Baywatch star David Hasselhoff stole his crown in 2011 when he was flung 70 metres high at Battersea Power Station for an episode of the TV show Red or Black.
Happily, although Ben no longer holds the current titles for either of these records, he’s still very proud of his achievements and keeps them in a special place to show them off.
