The 16-year-old boy who was stabbed to death in a residential road in Hounslow has been named as Ashmeet Singh.
The teenager was found suffering fatal knife wounds in Raleigh Road on Wednesday evening.
Despite the best efforts of emergency services, he died at the scene a short time later.
Friends believe Ashmeet was stabbed over a fake Gucci pouch he always wore, reports the Evening Standard.
Police set up a cordon on Raleigh Road, which still remains, and forensics have been collecting evidence throughout today.
No arrests have been made.
A resident nearby said he saw the police cars arrive at 9pm last night and questioned why anyone would carry a knife.
Mr Nadeem said: “My condolences to the poor boy’s family, when will this stop? Why are people carrying knives with them in this estate?
