Tottenham Hotspur continued their perfect start to the Premier League season with a solid 1-0 success at Wolverhampton Wanderers on Sunday.
A solitary first-half effort from Dele Alli proved to be the match-winner as Harry Kane returned to action after coming on as an 80th minute substitute.
Two of Spurs’ summer signings were named on the nine-man bench, but both Bryan Gil and Pierluigi Gollini remained on there as Cristian Romero was left out of the squad altogether.
Having been linked to adding further additions to their squad before the end of the transfer window, Nuno Espirito Santo could be dealt a blow with one of their targets.
According to @FabrizioRomano, Fiorentina CEO Joe Barone has confirmed that Dusan Vlahovic will be remaining at the club this month.
The Serbian forward has been linked with a move to the north London outfit as they look to strengthen their attacking department.
After scoring 21 goals in 40 appearances across all competitions last season, a whole host of European clubs are interested in Vlahovic but all could now fail to get their man.
“Dusan Vlahovic is not for sale.
“He will stay at Fiorentina this summer, he’s untouchable as our president already said”, Barone said to DAZN.
Atletico Madrid had reportedly made an offer to sign the 21-year-old, but he is set to stay at Fiorentina, with his current deal running out in 2023.
The Tuscans are, however, in advanced talks to extend his stay at the club, which also comes at a blow to Spurs’ league rivals Manchester City, who were supposedly interested in the striker.
